WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE S.A.F.E.?
"We are there when you can't be"
Families make life choices based on the welfare and health needs at various stages in life. The population in the United States is quickly changing to silver, from blond, black or brown, much like the leaves in fall.
The aging population brings a unique challenge, not only to the baby-boomers but to their
children and grandchildren. We as concerned family members must make decisions for our loved
ones based on the information available. Here are several of the questions we most often answer:
1. Who does the Intake Assessment?
An Intake Coordinator (IC), who is a registered professional, performs the evaluation interview and review. The IC will ask a comprehensive series of questions, evaluate activities and make observations and complete the assessment with recommendations for the Client's review.
2. How often will my loved one receive a monitoring visit?
That is your decision. The recommendation will be based upon the observations and analysis from
the evaluation. You, the Client, will make the decision on how often and when you wish your loved one
to be monitored.
3. Do you provide in-home care?
No. We provide an evaluation to assure that the Resident is able to continue to live securely and safely in their own home, followed by regular visits to monitor that ability. We will recommend care services if you need or desire them, but only to those agencies that meet our requirements.
4. Who pays for this service?
Clients pay for services on a monthly basis utilizing their choice of payment, preferably a pre-authorized credit card. You may choose to seek repayment of a portion of the payments from your insurance company.
5. Do you take my loved one to their appointments or grocery shopping?
No. We provide monitoring services only (see our Mission Statement). We offer recommendations
for providers of these services at your request and only to companies that meet our requirements.
6. Will you monitor my loved one’s Doctor visits?
We ask when and if the Resident has a Doctor's appointment and if it has been completed. We can, with your authorization, notify you in the weekly report of completed appointments and any changes the Resident has reported to us concerning the visit.
7. Will I always have the same Home Monitoring Agent (HMA)?
We strive to maintain continuity of personnel however, due to scheduling, absences and personnel changes it will be necessary to have an alternate HMA available.
